Our approach

Drs Betts, Campbell and O’Cleirigh have come together to create the Chinese Medicine Institute of New Zealand (CMINZ). Our vision is to be a global leader in advancing the practice, education, and research of Chinese Medicine.

By providing high quality academic teaching, delivered in a flexible hybrid mode, our aim is create new educational pathways for prospective and existing practitioners of Chinese Medicine throughout New Zealand.

In-person teaching

Whilst most of our teaching takes place in your home, we know how important in-person learning is. The connections you make as you learn will support you through your professional life. Some skills just have to be taught in person, so for mastering practical skills in acupuncture or experiencing the taste and smell of herbs we will deliver block courses at the South Pacific College of Natural Medicine in Auckland.

Learning from the comfort of your own home

Wherever home may be, our flexible teaching program means that you can study from there and undertake supervised clinical practice in your home area.
